Who Am I?
Hy there, my name’s Benjamin Hyland. Welcome to my world. Thanks for having a look at my portfolio, or how I like to refer to it as my professional eco-system, because it is forever being updated and changed with what’s current. Next, a little about myself...
I’m a 23-year-old Graphic Designer based in Kent. I graduated with a First Class BA(Hons) from UCA Canterbury and have since gained 3 years’ experience working in the gaming industry. I use the Adobe Suite daily, with Photoshop and Illustrator being my bread and butter. I also commonly use InDesign, and have some experience using After Effects. Whenever I can I’ll mix analogue and digital together. I have a love for print and paper mediums. My strengths are defiantly artworking, editorial and type design; this feeds into my other work across branding etc.
My current professional goal is to learn Unreal Engine 5, so I can build, capture and create even better keyarts!
Key achievements included being featured and published in in Fedrigoni’s 2022, 2023, and 2024 annual typographic calendar.
Outside of Work
Graphic design is my main passion, but outside of this I have many other interests and hobbies. I enjoy the wonderful world of cars and motorsport (a big McLaren F1 fan!), horlology, fashion, travel, playing golf, and socialising with friends.
